Financial Controller


Clearlab SG Pte Ltd, a manufacturing centre for contact lens for the global market, seeks a dynamic and motivated professional as Financial Controller. The successful candidate will provide accounting and systems support to Clearlab SG Pte Ltd’s Senior Management in order to meet legal and statutory statutory requirements of financial reporting and to lead the Finance Department.

Job Responsibilities:

1. To ensure that the monthly Financial Reports are closed within 12 working days after month end and to ensure the monthly reconciliation of all ledgers and sub-ledgers in order to track cash flow

2. To ensure the accurate preparation / reporting of monthly and yearly Financial Results are in strict accordance with Company deadlines and to track the monthly and yearly Financial Reports in order to provide accurate reporting of Company’s Financial Performance.

3. To monitor accounts receivables and guide the accounts team in maintaining a clean set of accounts in order to ensure consistency in the collection of debts within the Company’s timeframe.

4. To guide the accounts team and monitor accounts payables and ensure that the invoices have been matched to a purchase orders in order to ensure consistency in payment of outstanding invoices within the Company’s timeframe.

5. To co-ordinate and prepare annual budgets, including operating and capital expenditure budgets and to finalize Audited Finance Statement by the stipulated timeline in order to ensure a healthy cash flow and to facilitate financial planning and forecasting.

6. To provide assistance and information to directors and HOD regarding financial matters and to provide financial analysis to senior management in order to improve financial result of the company

7. To monitor the finance department’s book-keeping practices in order to ensure compliance with statutory authority and audit requirements and to ensure all taxation and legislative requirements are complied.

8. To maintain integrity of Accounting system (software), and to update standard costing annually in order to ensure accurate reporting of product costing.

9. To ensure that business cash flow adequately supports company work activities and produces optimal results and collate all relevant information to produce end of year statutory accounts for the company in order to ensure a healthy cash flow situation for the Company at all times.

10. To ensure on a monthly basis that the general ledger is reconciled to the assets register in order to ensure that all company assets are monitored and accurately accounted for.

11. To collect and collate all necessary documentation in readiness and preparation of company tax return in order to ensure that the company GST and Corporate Tax are compliant and the returns are accurately prepared by specified due date.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Business Admin

2. Must possess Certified Public Accountant or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants

3. At least 10 year(s) experience in Senior Managerial Role

4. Must have knowledge of Local and Regional Accounting Practices and Tax Computaion

5. Must have knowledge in Management Accounting

6. Must have knowledge in Budgeting and Forecasting

7. Knowledge of VAT and European Union Accounting and working knowledge of Multi Currency Transactions
