Sales Manager


Clearlab SG Pte Ltd, a manufacturing centre for contact lens for the global market, is seeking a dynamic and motivated professional as Sales Manger. The successful candidate will manage the contact lenses business of Clearlab in Asia with responsibility for marketing, sales and customer service, enure that the objectives set by the Managing Director are achieved, and that the business activities have the correct organization and people to achieve maximum performance in the short and continuing long term, drive and manage the business ad revenue as determined by the Managing Director each year.
Job Responsibilities
1. To formulate regional strategic marketing plans, establishes budget, discuss promotional and marketing methids with customers, conducts market surveys to ensure compliance with Asia's regulations for medical devices. Identifies, evaluates and appoints agents and distributors in order to maximize business and profit growth and ensure compliance with Asia's regulations for medical devices
2. To define medium term objectives and development plans for specific market segments and countries in order to make operations viable and to diversify the business
3. To establish sales budget and monitor trading profits versus targets in order to ensure adequate and timely supply of products
4. To establish optimum distribution policy, identifies suitable distributors and drives them in a controlled manner in order to achieve agreed sales targets
5. To develop good understanding of local market needs and specific trends, fashion and products performance and effects requirements. Identifies innovative concepts needed in the market place or emerging trend in order to be competitive
6. To make suggestions regarding product prices, cost control, product range required to develop and maintain an effective sales and marketing organization in order to maximize turnover and gross margin
7. To collect market information, information on customers and their requirements, competitors and their products, pricing, activities, strengths and weaknesses in order to secure competitiveness
8. To respond to queries with a view of recruiting new distributors in order to secure greater market share
9. To work with operations to manage customer expectations, order processing, stock control and to keep srock at cost-effective levels in order to adhere to budget requirements
10. To build relationship with customers in order to increase sales and the perception of Clearlab as partner of choice
11. To lead, coach and support team members in their training, welfare and career growth innorder to attract, retain and motivate good employees
12. To work with customers, operations and logistics to provide and manage most cost effective distribution channels in order to reduce costs and drive business efficiency
Job Requirements
1. Must posses at least a Bachelor's Degree
2. At least 5 years experience in Sales and Marketing
3. Must have substantial experience in sales and marketing of contact lenses business
4. Posses strong achievement record in major accounts development
5. Must have experience in business partner role in managing distribution channels
6. Knowledge in marketing, budget setting and Asia's medical device regulatory requirements essential
7. Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
8. Must have strong negotiation skills, influencing and persuasion skills
9. Must have strong flair in spotting business opportunities
10. Must have strong commercial awareness and business understanding
11. Must be highly customer-focused, results-oriented abd adaptable in changing environments and situations
12. Ability to see big picture-strategy thinking
