REGIONAL LEARNING AND ORGANIZATION CAPABILITY MANAGER

Molex Incorporated is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electronic connectors

in terms of revenue. Net revenue was US$3.4 billion for calendar year 2010. Today, we

operate 39 manufacturing locations in 16 countries, and employ over 35,000 people

worldwide. Our core business is the manufacture and sale of electronic components.

Our products are used by a large number of leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)

throughout the world. We design, manufacture and sell more than 100,000 products,

including terminals, connectors, planar cables, cable assemblies, interconnection systems,

backplanes, integrated products and mechanical and electronic switches. We also provide

manufacturing services to integrate specific components into a customer’s product.

Our engineering, development and manufacturing capabilities are organized into three

product divisions, all serviced by the Molex Global Sales and Marketing Division.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for helping to develop the organization’s competencies so that Molex

can become a high performance organization

- Analyze and prioritize L&O capability needs, specifically to help

our teams function more effectively (Team Development)

our leaders / managers build stronger teams (Leadership Development)

develop and engage talent more systematically (Talent Management)

improve the individual performance of our people (Training); and

engage our employees better (Employee Engagement)

- Design change-initiatives and develop programs/workshops to address prioritized

L&O capability needs in Asia-Pacific South region

- Support the Senior Regional L&O Capability Manager in deploying and localizing global

and regional change-initiatives/programs/workshops, and by reflecting to him the L&O

capability needs of various entities in Asia-Pacific South region

- Follow up with entity HR teams in Asia-Pacific South region to ensure coherent

execution and alignment with global and regional HR strategies; further customize to suit

local circumstances, enhance and develop their competencies in L&O.

- Act as an internal consultant to entity HR teams on L&O capability subject matters

- Lead programs to support L&O capability needs in Greater China as and when required

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Business or HR

- 8-10 years of working experience, preferably in multi-national companies

- Prior working experience in electrical / electronic manufacturing environment is preferred

- Regional experience is preferred

- Able to present, influence and communicate with HR colleagues, line managers and

different levels of employees to make decisions and action plans

- Able to design, develop and facilitate training / workshops / interventions so as to

enhance individual and team competencies

- Able to advise and coach line managers and employees on best practices relating

to developing and engaging people

- Able to communicate in English and Chinese fluently

- Able to display critical and systematic thinking; highly adaptable, keen and fast learner

- Travel is required

SPEC is founded by Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) in May 2000.
